September 17 - 19 | SEMANTiCS Conference in Amsterdam

From September 17 to 19, 2024, Amsterdam will welcome SEMANTiCS – the leading European conference on Linked Data, Semantic AI and Data Science. An inspiring program for experts, decision-makers and researchers invites you to exchange ideas about new technologies, innovations and company implementations.

As a Silver Sponsor, PANTOPIX will once again be present with an event stand and two exciting presentations as well as a tutorial. Prof. Dr. Martin Ley and Maximilian Gärber, Partners and Technical Consultants at PANTOPIX, will give a detailed tutorial entitled “Modeling product ontologies for industrial KG applications”, in which they will present the modeling of product ontologies for industrial knowledge graph applications.

Dr. Amir Laadhar and Nikhil Acharya, Kowledge Engineers at PANTOPIX present an exciting talk on “Leveraging Business Q&A with LLMs over Product Knowledge Graphs”, where they show how to effectively answer business questions using large language models and product knowledge graphs.

We are looking forward to an exchange at our stand: many colleagues will be on site in Amsterdam and are looking forward to getting to know each other and an exciting event with new input on semantic technologies.

Modeling Product Ontologies for industrial Knowledge Graph Applications
Speakers: Prof. Dr. Martin Ley & Maximilian Gärber, PANTOPIX

The main purpose of many industrial KG applications is
providing the right information to the right person at the right time. From an information point of view (i. e. with respect to information units and information types,) this goal is supported by iiRDS, the intelligent information request and delivery standard. However, information is not “free floating”, but typically and necessarily related to a specific product or a specific component of a product. Nonetheless, there seems to be no common understanding of how knowledge about a product is represented
., iiRDS itself only offers so-called “docking points. This typically leads to highly specialized, customized, and even co-existing representations of the product domain, making data-interoperability an even greater task. The goal of this workshop is to discuss existing approaches to product ontology modeling from various perspectives such as iiRDS, Asset Administration Shell, custom ontologies and/or eClass. The participants aim at identifying agreement and/or deviation of existing approaches and ideally seek developing the framework for a common approach to the modeling of product ontologies.

Leveraging Business Q&A with LLMs over Product Knowledge Graphs
Speakers: Dr. Amir Laadhar und Nikhil Acharya, PANTOPIX

In the product information management (PIM) systems domain, we face the challenge of not only managing diverse data but also making it contextually relevant to business needs. Traditional PIM systems often fall short because they cannot provide meaningful contextual knowledge about product information within the same company. They struggle with data heterogeneity and fail to meet modern requirements for comprehensive, integrated information.
