PANTOPIX has received a federal research grant for the further development of PANTOPIX SPHERE. This funding is an important signal for the company: it confirms that PANTOPIX SPHERE has been recognized as a genuine innovation project. The development goes beyond existing solutions and involves scientific and technical risks, which is a key criterion for receiving funding. These risks primarily relate to coordinating large language models (LLMs) with rule-based approaches, and not to a lack of fundamental functionality.
PANTOPIX SPHERE is a semantic platform for the industrial environment that intelligently connects distributed and heterogeneous data throughout the product lifecycle and makes it usable in context. The platform combines knowledge graphs and ontologies with large language models to create a semantic AI designed to automatically model, classify, and provide technical information in a context-aware manner—for example, for predictive maintenance, digital product passports, and industrial service applications.
A key area of development is the creation and control of information flows using natural language. The goal is for users to eventually be able to use natural language to instruct PANTOPIX SPHERE to define, trigger, and adjust information processes.
