In the end, it’s the content that counts. Especially in times of digital information management, with and without artificial intelligence, a content strategy is needed. We support you along the entire customer journey, from analyzing your editorial processes and developing metadata and information models to defining targeted publication concepts. In this way, we ensure that your target groups can use technical content in precisely tailored formats, structured according to user needs and across all channels.
Strategy in detail
Our approach to building a content strategy
The strategic objective for the intelligent provision of your information is clarified by the vision, and the current status of processes, content and systems is analyzed. Based on this, we develop recommendations for a future-proof content strategy and comprehensive content management.
The roadmap, responsibilities and milestones depend on the project. Will a new system (CRM, CCMS, SPC, PIM, etc.) be introduced, a knowledge graph implemented as a knowledge base or is an AI-supported solution being discussed?
01Analysis of the Editorial Processes
We examine how technical content is created, checked, approved and published. The aim is to identify weaknesses in information management and optimize workflows so that content can be provided faster, more consistently and without errors.
02Customer Journey & User Needs
Based on the analyses, we develop clear process structures for content creation and approval. At the same time, we consider the user’s perspective and focus on the user experience: What information do they need? How do they search for information? Mapping the customer journey ensures that content is available exactly where it is needed.
03Modularization and Topic-based Writing
We support the preparation of content in small, reusable information modules (topics). Modular structures allow content to be combined flexibly, updated more quickly and distributed efficiently across channels. Standards such as DITA are used specifically to ensure a high level of reusability and structuring of content.
04Metadata and Information Models
We develop information concepts and metadata models that systematically support the classification, search and provision of content. We draw on established standards such as iiRDS or VDI 2770 or adapt the metadata to company-specific requirements. This ensures that content is available intelligently and contextually.
05Content Strategy for different Target Groups and Channels
Technical information needs to be adapted depending on the target group and channel, e.g. for end users, service technicians or internal teams. We develop a strategy that keeps content consistent, but at the same time is flexible enough to serve different user needs and optimize content delivery across all relevant channels.
05AI Integration
We analyze what role AI can play in your information strategy – be it in the automated generation, classification or provision of content. The aim is to speed up processes, increase quality and consistency and open up new possibilities for processing information.
We offer a detailed analysis of AI readiness in the form of our status assessment with the PANTOPIX 360° maturity model.

Topix
Metadata explained in brief
"Many companies invest in new systems and tools, but without a clear content strategy, their potential often remains untapped. Only a consistent and future-proof strategy ensures that content has an impact, processes become more efficient and all target groups receive the information they really need."
FAQ
Frequently asked questions about content strategy consulting
What belongs in a content strategy?
A content strategy defines how content is planned, created, structured, published and maintained. It includes clear objectives, defined target groups, coordinated processes and roles, a metadata and information model as well as guidelines for modularization and reuse. It also takes into account the channels through which content is played out and how its quality and impact can be continuously measured and improved.
When does content strategy consulting make sense for your company?
Strategic advice on content management and content delivery is always worthwhile if you want to ensure that all stakeholders – from customers to service teams to partners – receive consistent, up-to-date information that is tailored to their needs. It is particularly relevant if you want to introduce a Component Content Management System (CCMS) or a Content Delivery Platform (CDP), provide information intelligently for different target groups and channels or integrate the use of AI technologies into your processes.
What is the difference between a content strategy and single source publishing?
Single source publishing is a content strategy in which information is provided from a central data source. This does not mean that there is only one system, but that the existing source systems such as the editorial system, PIM, SAP etc. are linked and provided via a central knowledge base (e.g. a knowledge graph).
At PANTOPIX, we pursue this form of intelligent knowledge networking independently of the system and geared to the individual needs of our customers.
How long does it take to develop a content strategy?
The duration depends heavily on your objectives and the complexity of your existing content and processes. We tailor the scope to your individual requirements, listen carefully to your needs and develop a customized offer with a realistic schedule based on this.
What comes after building the content strategy?
Once the goal has been defined, the current status of your systems, processes and content analyzed and the future content strategy developed, the next step is the implementation of your project – for example, the introduction of a CCMS or CDP or the integration of AI into your processes.
