On March 25 at 5 p.m., a webinar with Karsten Schrempp, Managing Director of PANTOPIX, will take place in the tekom Alb-Donau regional group on the topic “Technical Documentation and Knowledge Graphs – Two Concepts, One Value-Adding Connection?

According to Gartner’s famous hype cycles, the topic of knowledge graphs – the English technical term for Wissensgraphen – is just before the peak of inflated expectations and thus just before the descent into the trough of disillusionment.

So do we need to deal with this topic at all, or can we simply set it aside? Karsten Schrempp believes that in any case we should engage with the topic. A look at reality, and not just at Google, shows us that knowledge graphs have long been working in the background and influencing all of our lives.

We should therefore understand how they work and assess whether and how we can use them in mechanical and plant engineering. What if a system were to present service technicians with previously implicit relationships in a simple and transparent way – without long searches and without extensive research?

In this presentation, we will look at what a knowledge graph is, what it has to do with technical documentation, and how we can make use of the connection between the two. Register now free of charge – also for non-members of tekom.

We are happy to keep you regularly informed about new articles, videos, or podcast episodes.
