Together with our partner Semantic Web Company, a webinar on the topic “Added Value for Service – How Technical Information Is Intelligently Connected Using Knowledge Graphs” will take place on December 7, 2021, at 3:00 p.m. Your speakers will be Dr. Lutz Krüger, Business Development and Sales Representative at SWC, and Prof. Dr. Martin Ley, Senior Consultant at PANTOPIX.

In all manufacturing companies, various types of technical information are created, such as repair instructions, spare parts, labor time standards, or diagnostic information. These types of information are now often provided digitally (for example via a portal) – but usually in isolation from one another and without being intelligently linked. The consequence: service employees spend a great deal of time searching, and sometimes unsuccessfully, for the information relevant to them in a specific work situation. That does not have to be the case!

In this webinar, Lutz Krüger and Martin Ley will show how information from different data silos can be connected using knowledge graphs and illustrate this with very specific practical use cases.

This webinar answers the following questions:

  • What exactly are knowledge graphs, and what are they used for?
  • How are knowledge graphs modeled and “orchestrated,” for example with standards such as DITA and/or proprietary topic types?
  • What role does the tekom standard iiRDS play in the context of knowledge graphs?
  • How can information be provided in a use-case-specific, situational, and ideally personalized way?
  • What challenges can be mastered with knowledge graphs? Where are their limits?

The webinar is aimed at service managers, service strategists, CTOs/CIOs, digital transformation specialists, IT managers, heads of technical documentation, and content/knowledge managers.
