Topic-oriented provision of information | Webinar

Webinar

20. March 2024

Together with Quanos, we are hosting a webinar on topic-oriented information provision on April 25. Prof. Dr. Martin Ley, Partner and Consultant at PANTOPIX, will show why it is important to think in smaller information units than documents.

On the one hand, do you also want to make information available intelligently at the point of need? On the other hand, do you or your editors prepare your technical information primarily with the aim of being able to publish a document at the end? Do you sometimes have the feeling that one side and the other don’t really fit together? Then you’ve come to the right place. We will discuss why we need to think smaller rather than bigger; why we don’t need documents but smaller units such as the topic (or node). We explain what a topic is and how we get from a document to a topic. We show what a comprehensive content strategy can look like and how it fits into your content delivery strategy. Of course, we do not ignore the fact that the information creation processes also play a central role. Together with you, we don’t want to think bigger, but smaller!

We answer the following questions:

  • Why is it important to think in smaller units of information than documents?
  • How are these information units created?
  • Why is this important for modern use cases such as content delivery?

The webinar is aimed at technical writers, technical communication department heads and information developers with advanced knowledge of information development.
