After two years, the tekom annual conference is back at the ICS in Stuttgart! From terminology and software documentation to user experience and virtual reality, everything revolves around this year’s annual conference from November 8 to 10, 2022.
A hotbed of knowledge, a provider of expertise, a source of inspiration, a discussion forum and a contact pool – tekom brings together cross-industry participants, speakers, students and exhibitors in technical communication from all over the world. This time, PANTOPIX is offering a hands-on workshop on knowledge representation. Don’t miss one of the two sessions with our experts Dr. Martin Ley and Karsten Schrempp, who will be on stage together for the first time. “Providing information intelligently” is our (all) goal. The consensus is that knowledge must be made explicit for this purpose. But how exactly does this work in practice? And what can go wrong? Using concrete examples, we work our way through the “jungle” of knowledge representation (such as taxonomy, thesaurus, etc.). We will find out what types of knowledge there are, how they can be classified and ultimately modeled. You will be familiar with the various forms of knowledge representation. You will be able to transfer your domain knowledge about products and information, for example, into your professional practice using “golden rules”.
