PoolParty Use Case in Digital Asset Management (DAM):
Knowledge graphs in machinery and plant engineering [English only]

3. November, 15.00 pm
Karsten Schrempp, PANTOPIX

Companies in the mechanical and plant engineering sector around the world are currently showing strong interest in the use of knowledge graphs. We present two different use cases based on customer projects: a service portal and market/competitive intelligence.

Companies must provide their customers with excellent service. To do so, support organizations need various types of information, such as technical product data, spare parts information, or repair instructions. Knowledge graphs can be used to provide this information intelligently. We show how relevant information is linked in knowledge graphs in order to make all information quickly available to service technicians in a service portal, thereby improving and shortening the service process.

To improve and support their sales process, companies need information about competitors. We show how a knowledge graph can be used to model a company’s own products and those of its competitors, and to link them with the necessary sales information.

By the way: digital twins do not work without knowledge graphs either.
