20. March 2025
The Information Energy Conference is a new, three-day online conference taking place April 2-4, 2025. It brings together the global TechComm community to explore current and future trends in technical communication, software documentation, technical translation and AI.
Over 30 top international speakers will offer more than 30 exciting sessions with technical presentations, workshops, showcases and discussions. The event will be held entirely online via Zoom so that participants from all over the world can easily take part. The conference language is English.
We are very pleased to be able to support the first Information Energy Conference as a sponsor. Our colleagues Sofia Darie and Nikhil Acharya will talk about document classification. The presentation will show how AI and knowledge graphs analyze, organize and make unstructured legacy data usable in order to integrate it into information systems in a targeted, findable and contextually relevant way.
Join us and secure your ticket. We look forward to the online exchange with you!

Enhancing The Experience Through Interactivity, Formalization & Media
In the evolving landscape of digital documentation, the role of metadata cannot be overstated. By formalizing knowledge through metadata, documentation is transformed from static content into an interactive, personalized and dynamic experience. This enables users to not only consume information, but to engage with it in a meaningful way. We will discuss the potential and power of metadata-driven knowledge by also putting it into practice in the form of engaging videos. Today, videos provide an intuitive way to explore complex information, transforming traditional manuals into interactive, user-centered experiences. This panel includes experts from the fields of standards, IIrDS, knowledge graphs and media.
The panel consists of members of the Component Content Alliance: Harald Stadlbauer (Ninefeb), Kees van Manson (Accenture), Helmut Nagy (Semantic Web), Karsten Schrempp (PANTOPIX), Klaus Fleischmann (Kaleidoscope) and Wouter Maagdenberg (TXTOmedia).

Unlocking the potential of legacy data with AI and Knowledge Graphs
Sofia Darie and Nikhil Acharya
Imagine a library with endless shelves full of books – books without titles, categories or indexes. And now imagine that you are trying to find a specific subject in this labyrinth. Frustrating, isn’t it? This is the reality that many companies are experiencing today with their legacy data. Technical documents that have been created over decades are disorganized and missing metadata. The challenge? Providing users with the accurate, useful information they need for their job and usage situation. In our presentation, we will show how we address this challenge using AI and knowledge graphs. Using advanced data processing and knowledge modeling techniques, we can analyze, structure, slice, and organize unstructured legacy content so that it becomes searchable and contextually relevant. By integrating this data into an existing knowledge base within an information system, we enable it to be retrieved, updated and extended. This helps companies overcome the limitations of legacy data. Discover with us how AI breathes new life into legacy data.
