21. April 2026
gdslive will take place again in Düsseldorf on May 20, 2026, bringing together technical communication professionals who wish to combine practical experience, knowledge sharing, and fresh ideas. The event will focus on real-world insights from everyday work, concrete case studies, and an open, dialogue-oriented atmosphere.
The content focuses on current industry topics – including legally compliant implementation, efficient processes, and the effective use of new technologies. It addresses key issues that provide guidance in day-to-day professional practice and demonstrates how complex requirements can be implemented in a clear and understandable way and how digital tools can be used strategically to increase efficiency.
The goal of gdslive is to provide practical expertise, highlight new perspectives, and offer inspiration for the further development of technical communication – in a concise, relevant, and immediately applicable format.
One special format that was very well received last year is the themed tables. They facilitate direct, peer-to-peer discussion in smaller groups. The themed tables will once again be part of the program in 2026: There will be a total of four different topics to choose from, and participants can actively participate in two of them.
PANTOPIX will once again be on site this year and looks forward to in-person interactions, engaging conversations, and making new connections in Düsseldorf.

From Content to Context: How AI Agents Are Redefining Information Delivery
Speaker: Maximilian Gärber
Generative AI is fundamentally transforming technical communication in mechanical engineering – but it only realizes its full potential when combined with metadata, knowledge graphs, and AI agents. This presentation demonstrates how chat systems are becoming intelligent knowledge interfaces that provide context-specific, role-based, and situation-dependent information. Using real-world client projects as examples, we demonstrate how agent-based AI makes after-sales, support, and technical documentation more efficient, consistent, and user-centered, and transforms existing content architectures into conversational knowledge systems.
