The 29th DOKU+MEDIEN Forum will take place in Hamburg on February 25, 2026. The established symposium is organized by DokuNord, the association of technical editorial offices, and takes place at ZINDEL AG. The event is aimed at managers and decision-makers from development, design, service and technical editing.
Participants can expect a varied program with eight specialist presentations, which will be offered in two parallel lecture series. During the presentations, there will be ample opportunity to ask questions, explore topics in depth and take away valuable insights for your own practice.

Turning old into new: Migration to a CCMS

Are you currently working with Word, FrameMaker or InDesign and would like to introduce a Component Content Management System (CCMS)? Are you already using a CCMS but are considering replacing it with a new CCMS? Then you are probably asking yourself what challenges you may face in this task. In this presentation, we will describe the key phases of such a project, from defining the objectives through to operation. We will take a detailed look at the strategic considerations and the necessary prerequisites for such an introduction/replacement. And, of course, the technical feasibility and limitations of (automated) migration will not be neglected. So that you can at least start your CCMS project with your eyes open!
