Mechanical engineering use case: Step by step to the knowledge graph

This white paper uses the example of a pump manufacturer to explain how we transfer product knowledge in tables to networked information in a so-called knowledge graph. We first describe the initial situation in many companies, introduce the basic concepts of knowledge graphs and outline an IT architecture for knowledge graph-based applications. At the end, we provide an outlook on which scenarios are conceivable for this approach and with which objectives this approach is typically pursued.
